At AIIMS Rishikesh, two physicians, one from Punjab and the other from Haryana, are in practice. These two doctors were among five who were detained by the police on Sunday night for aiding and abetting from a vehicle near Barrage Road in Rishikesh.
INI CET 2024 Exam Cheating Case: On May 19, 2024, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducted the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test for Doctor of Medicine (MD) exam. As a result of a cheating scam, Uttarakhand Police has detained three people and two doctors from AIIMS Rishikesh.
Two physicians, one from Punjab and the other from Haryana, are allegedly practicing at AIIMS Rishikesh. According to TOI, the police detained five people on Sunday night, including these two doctors, for aiding and abetting from a vehicle close to Barrage Road in Rishikesh.
Medical Dialogues reported that Vipul Gaura (age 31) and Jayant (age 22) from Hisar, Haryana, along with two medics, Aman Shivach (age 24) of Rohtak, Haryana, and Jayant (age 22) from Hisar, Haryana, were arrested for allegedly using an instant messaging app to solve the question paper at an exam center in Himachal Pradesh.
Three INI CET 2024 candidates allegedly struck a deal with the three people to assist them in passing the exam. They pledged to pay INR 2 lakh to each physician at AIIMS Rishikesh who was allegedly complicit in the cheating case in exchange for this.
Numerous cell phones, INI CET books, and the vehicle where the incident occurred were seized by Uttarakhand Police. The investigation into any further suspects connected to the INI CET 2024 cheating case is ongoing, according to Delhi Police SSP Ajai Singh.
Investigating the NEET UG paper leak case is also being done in the interim. NEET results won't be delayed despite the Supreme Court's recent decision to hear a PIL regarding an alleged paper leak.
