On August 8th, 1993, the Government of Nepal and the International Society for Medical Education Pvt. Ltd. (ISME Pvt. Ltd.) signed a contract to develop the College of Medical Sciences in Bharatpur. The institution's main objectives are the training of Nepal's paramedical workforce, the promotion of health, and medical education.

The College of Medical Sciences was successfully formed under the inspirational guidance of Mr. Nagender K.
